Argument Essay Sample Work - Preparing for Your Argument

Argument Essay Sample Work - Preparing for Your ArgumentArgument essays are among the most difficult type of essay to write and even more difficult to write successfully. The reason is that in an argument essay you are engaging in a debate with someone or some group. If you can't debate with the authority of the teacher in the room, then how can you win? However, that doesn't mean that the essay should be without argument. In fact, if you can get your facts right, if you can prove your point well, if you can demonstrate the validity of your argument, then you may very well find yourself with an argument essay that even convinces the class. It can all be done. However, even with a strong argument or two, you can get into trouble if you overdo it, so first do some research about what you're writing about, then prepare a little bit of your own, then sit down and write your essay. That's the easiest way to go about it.An argument is like a good argument; it begins with some knowledge about something and sometimes it's just a paragraph explaining why a certain view is better than another. For example, let's take a look at this argument: 'If you cook your own food, you'll get sick more often than you'd otherwise'. Now, there's a lot of wrong about this argument, but we're looking at the structure here, right? You must be able to explain why you think someone who's food is cooked should be more likely to get sick than someone who doesn't, and give evidence for that statement. That's the first step. Now, you have to have a good case study, and another good piece of evidence to support your claim. And, yes, sometimes your knowledge will be lacking and you'll need to supplement your knowledge with evidence, but do it only where necessary, do not just use it to argue that you're right. And remember, the fact that you don't have enough knowledge is no justification for arguing your case with the evidence of the expert on your side. And that's the interesting part of writing an argument essay. You must be able to read the teacher correctly, and know how to present your case, and as such, know the basics of writing and thinking, which will always come with practice. After you've learned enough to get your points across, and you've put in some work on the research for your piece, then and only then do you know that you've succeeded. Whether it's an argument essay, a thesis, a report, or whatever, good argument writing is all about proofreading your essay, giving some thought to it and then test it.
